    Hi Thomas,

    The Eagle and liner certainly look strange compared to some originals I have seen on this forum. I think it is bad but wait for some of the more experienced guys to comment.

    Compare to the cap on this page:

    Officer's Kriegsmarine cap, Luftwaffe Einheitsfeldmuetze, and pith helmet

    The piping of this cap seems to have been painted in gold (which has already come partly off at the back of the cap). For me that is no good sign, but I know almost nothing of Schiffchen, so better wait for the specialists.

    I'd say bad. For a officers side cap it would probably have more quality liner and most importantly be stamped. Best Regards
