As others have said, its a good buy, but just an fyi some of the rarer ones are near 1000, I know of a complete example in the same condition for sale right now for 650, cockade should only cost you 50 so you would still be getting this for about 200 below normal value

If you want a cockade for your shako Reddick Enterprises of Texas has them for sale.They are reproductions and well made.Thats the easy way or you can try to pickup an original at a show,etc.Just about all shakos have scuffs,crackling,etc.
