Its a 1980's West German Bundeswehr beret.

Some kind of post war Beret but to who and what I can't help you looks like German or Austrian label inside as maker never seen that badge before? maybe Austrian of some sort. Sorry timothy

What exactly you want to know about this cap ?
The cap is post-war.....
You can see "V/84" which is the month and year of manufacturing ( May '84 ).
There's also a NATO stock number......

What Theo said. Just allow me to add the "FRONTIERSMEN" cap badge is, of course, not German. (I cannot positively ID it, though.)
