Cloth manufacturers would have a different RZM code than manufacturers of items made of metal. M1=Badges & Insignia
BOB
LIFE'S LOSERS NEVER LEARN FROM THE ERROR OF THEIR WAYS.
Maybe someone just put the A 1 104 on some fake badges then Thank you for clarifying this F-B.

While Bob is the absolute authority in these matters bar none, you might want to examine the Saris book vol. IV in which some of his items are pictured and there is a discussion in depth as concerns the kepi made in the year 1936 versus the later years. I am sure I do not understand all the details, as this is not my thing. I had an NSKK officer's kepi for awhile which went to Shea......
Happy hats to all.
A1 was cap factories (Muetzenfabriken), and A2 is cap artisans, Muetzenmacher.....small proprietors....et cetera. A3 was DAF Festanzugmuetzen Hersteller.....

I see on Brian Maederer site militarycollectiblesinc.com he has the same kepi in same condition but the strap isn,t as good.
I was told he was a top notch dealer who doesnt have fakes?
Kindest rgds peter
HMMMM really, if you read the Saris book it explains things spoken about above, As for the tag I have seen the same tag a few times. New and old looking visors........ I would have to disagree.
Best.
This tag is found in SS caps, for instance, more or less of the date '35-'36.....
