I always feel enjoined to show a real item when a fake one is shown, somehow to balance out the cumulative bad effect.

If this shows a naive optimism on my part, then so be it.

I find all the images of fakes tedious and a theft of hope.

I have owned this cap for about forty years. It is not a field cap.

It's a cracker indeed Fb.

As a word of warning for the new collectors and this is a great example of such..........just because it has a leather peak it does not make it a field cap, leather peaks came as a nice optional extra on private purchase service caps.
