Opinions on this Cap

Right out of my depth with cloth headgear, it is hard to find here.
I have the option to obtain this one privately, but some expert advise would be great. It is a little bit moth eaten.
Is it a genuine example?
What model cap is it?
What value in this condition?

It is an M42 cap, with an M43 trapezoid eagle & cockade and I think it is an original, though I'm not an expert on these (or anything else).

I don't know it's value in this or any condition.

Hi Rich,

I was not saying it was a problem having the M43 trap, just describing what I could see. As you say, these are seen on M42 caps, no problem, though in the past it was thought that they should not be.

Certainly seems to be an original M42 cap. Whether the trap insignia is original to it is hard to judge. As for value, prehaps around £150-£200?
