    There are lots of good sellers--I would stay away from Ebay, however.
    A color-piped SS visor is going to cast you at least $20,000 if you can find one.

    Others can chime in on trusted sources for visor hats.

    Not to be critical, but didn't the lack of insignia clue you in to it be a reproduction. According to my reference book, The Collector's Guide tp Cloth Third Reich Headgear by Wilkens, these hats are made in Germany using W.W. 2 specs. They cannot by German Law put Nazi insignia, they are put on here in the States. I would strongly recommend you borrow or but the Reference book I mentioned by Gary Wilkens. It is a fascinating and detailed reference source.
