    Hello gents!

I hope everyone is doing well. I came across this visor cap for sale and I would really like to know your thoughts. To me as a rookie, the cap seems to have some odd variations: Dark gray inside the visor and gray sweatband (or so it appears). In addition, the visor's material doesn't seem right.

Doing some research in the forum, I have found other caps by the same maker, F. Eckhard in Hanau, but none with the aforementioned features. Also, the sweatband has the mark "Deutsches Industrie", which as far as I know usally doesn't indicate anything good... I really can't figure out this one

    Here are some pictures.

Thank you very much for looking. As always, all opinions are welcome and very much appreciated!

    Kindest regards,

    Correction: Eckhard is the distributor.

This is one of the rarer colours for visors and linings, but they did exist:

SS Visor - your help is needed - see F.-B.s posts, not the OP!

I like it but as always wait for the specialists' opinions.

I like it. Maybe Stonemint will chime in. He's much more an authority than I, but I think it looks good.

I'm not in the expert category but I see nothing wrong with this. Some less seen attributes but still a great looking visor. Material looks like a very fine doe skin with some of the nap worn down over time.

Overall construction is high quality and excellent condition.

I like it at first glance.
However, I have always associated that "Deutsches Industrie" stamp with Janke, and have never seen it on a period cap before.
At the same time, the hat is not a Janke.
Maybe a legit hat with a replaced (Janke) sweatband?

Can we get under the hood pics?

Also, a better shot ot the Eckhard logo (they were a distributor, not a maker).

Here are some other Eckhard logos:

Thank you very much for your replies. I will try to get more pictures from the seller, although I may pass on this one.

That would be great--if the sweatband is original to the cap, it is the first real example of that stamp.
