Total garbage. The price alone should tell you it is a fake.

Yes, it is a common Ebay repro, artificially aged.
I have not yet completed this thread, but they are all original examples:
SS Gray-Top White-Piped OFFICER Visors
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Figie,As the other members, moderators, administration, have stated please do your homework on SS hats. The comments are meant to tell you this is a very bad attempt at a SS visor. There are very few 100% SS pieces out there.Hands on is the best way,but that can be a challenge.I suggest you try to pickup a good book on these rare hats or just post on this forum before you buy any piece!!Either way post the dealers name as there are some real cretins who will take your money and run.
stonemint,Great post on these rare hats.I don't understand why these new guys are willing to part with heavy dollars, euros, pounds, etc. without at least doing their homework!!I won't go into what I went through not just with SS but all aspects of collecting when I got the bug in 1969.
I've collect german infantry equipment for 8 years. Im not interested in SS militaria. At the first sight it looked like an original. I wont buy it, As you suggested i will learn about what I would like to buy.
