Hi Glen, nothing like an original.
I think the faker is having a sick joke re the makers name.

What's the makers name??? Can't read it!!!
I'd have to say mate, that I think being a member of this forum has saved you a lot of money!!! I know your young and keen, and quite clever to post items, but I think people are trying to take advantage of you....
Keep posting mate!!!
The makers name says Otto Hirsch.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Man, all those disgusting fakes out there ...
Hi Glen, you know when you say you have been "offered" these items, do you mean you are trawling E Bay and the like and then getting sent these after requesting pics from sellers?
Looking for SS items on auction sites etc is really time wasted.
Cheers, Ade.

Glen-
A quick give away with this piece is the very poor fit of the sweatband. You will never find a period 3rd Reich cap with that poor quality workmanship. Troll through the cap section and look at how the sweatband sits in original caps.

Thanks guys for your words of wisdom.
@ Ade, i found this kepi on eBay, and i emailed the seller for more pics and he said that he has some more ww2 German items for sale and "offered" to send me some more pictures, so by the word "offered", i mean that he "offered" to sell me more WW2 German items. I know many of you would say that eBay is full of fakes and reproductions etc, which is true, but through eBay i have managed to buy about 35-40% of my collection at good/low prices!
Thanks, Glen.
Agree with Bob, sorry
Hi Glen, I though that would be the case but I wanted to be sure.
Cheers, Ade.
