Hello all,
I have a chance to get this cap and would like to know your opinion.
I like the material, construction but I am not certain with insignia. Are they genuine and period applied? What is your opinion?

Well the patches look very poorly finished to me. Am I right in thinking that or am I completely off the mark?

IMO the finish is nothing uncommon for these insignias, but I am not sure if - the skull especially - is a known and genuine pattern. Genuity is most important for me...if applied postwar, I can live with it.

The cap and insignia are fine originals. But I'am not sure they are period applied to the cap, at least skull. The skull is a bogus rare variant, seen on some original G Teufel made hats
