Hello to all forum members!


The fellow collector who bought the fake SS Police helmet on discussion here M42 Police helmet with SS runic decal, real or fake?? demanded the seller for a refund. This one responded with the offer of an SS M43 cap in exchange, which he assured to be good. Nevertheless we have some doubts regarding its authenticity. I would much appreciate the expertise of the forum members on this item.

Its got mothing which is good sign. But thats not an okay from me. Wait for SSamir or someone to come here.

The poorly applied insignia is not original to the cap and likely removed from a maroon fez. At best, it is a put together and possibly a stripped Heer cap which can not be determined from these poor images. Sellers usually send poor images for a reason. Get the refund. The seller evidently either is clueless or knows exactly what he is selling. In either case, an unreliable source.
