    Hello Outpost,

    I'm sure the specialists will see at first glance what is the matter with this cap even without pictures of the inside which I would need (and even then perhaps could not decide about its authenticity) but there is at least one feature to be seen in the picture which in most cases gives away a fake. Let's wait for the real experts.
    I followed rbminis' and bob's advice and uploaded the picture for you:

    We have lots of images of authentic caps of this type, if you care to look.

    What you enclose is a nice, garden variety fake, but hardly one that would fool an informed collector.

    After all, the original cap of this type was made in 1934 until about 1937 or so, which is a very, very long time ago, is it not?
