please don't be sorry. I'm just sorry for the poor sod that pays £3850 asking price for this piece. God Help Us All!
Thanks. Is paying, has paid, or will pay four thousand pounds for this?
Someone should put a stop to it.
Merry Christmas and happy hats.
We have lots of nice images of real black SS caps here.

Dear Sir,
if only I was!
This one was an easy one, there are, however, so many other fakes I wouldn't dare to comment on as I do not have - and never will - your experience and knowledge.
Danke trotzdem für das leider unverdiente Kompliment!

The item is for sale now, so don't all rush out to buy it! I totally agree with you should be stopped, but I like to think if you are going to dish out these kind of green backs you know what your about.

An easy "tell" for the beginner is the reverse-twist cords.
These are common to post-war DDR visors, but very rare to TR, and should be an immediate red-flag (however, this thing is flapping multiple red flags).

The cords, in fact, were the first hint that hit my eyes.

I could make a list of errors, but I shall demur from doing so, since it is pointless and no serious collector would be fooled by this item.
Happy hats and the best of the season to you all.
