Article about: Hello Gentlemen, Interested to find out more about these Kepis. First of all, I would like your opinions on construction and originality. Second, any idea what unit each of these belonged to

    Hessen did have navy-blue. The shown blue is not that color. I rate the group to be
    Oberrhein (parts of Baden an the Alsace), cornflower-blue;
    the grey looks as Generalgouvernement to me. The color for Sudeten merely was
    blue-grey!
    I did not look at the buttons as they may have a dis-coloring or patina.

    William & Bob,
    Do you have any concern with the interior construction of the Oberrhein Kepi? It has been brought to my attention that this lining is not found on period items and has put my Kepi under question. I have it posted for sale elsewhere.

    The gray one (Generalgouvernement) is a one-looker Clemens Wagner.
    I am sorry to say I would have to question the Oberrhein one, as it is not only atypical for Clemens Wagner, but SA Kepis in general of that era.
