1939 Gausieger Badge
Afternoon
Amongst the other things I'm frittering my money away against this month, I saw this Gausieger badge for sale at £295. Thought it would go nice with my Kreissieger badge and next to the space for the eventual (if) Reichsieger award.
I'm not in too much of a rush to gobble this up but haven't seen that many for sale. Are they quite scarce? I've seen a few 1944 awards but the painted ones don't do it for me
All of the genuine 1944 awards I have ever encountered were painted and not enamel.

Thanks Bob, yeah I had read that this was due to scarcity of materials etc. I should have worded my sentence properly ie I prefer the earlier enamel examples.

Yes, the 1938 Gausieger is definitely an awful fake. Hope you can send it back.
