Is this a Deutsches Jugend leader auto banner?

I assume it is some sort of DJ leader banner, since the DJ weren't old enough to drive. Does anybody know what it is for?

Hi there. I think this is a post war item that they sold in the back of magazines. Usually from the 70/80's. I could be wrong, just my two cents.

Thanks! That makes more sense than Deutsches Jugend! Think it's post 1945? Or genuine Nazi?

I really have no idea, but it could very well be pre 1945.
Someone may be along who can tell you.

Indeed, a Deutsches Jägermeister car pennant and jolly nice too. Perhaps all are aware of this, however just in case, there are some very crude fake Deutsches Jägermeister, screen printed on cotton rectangular flags that regularly appear on some of the auction sites.

Not my area of collecting, however I think Deutsches Jägermeister items are quite rare. Here is an image of an original and quite desirable D-J buckle currently being offered on a commission sales site.

Please allow me to add one small correction:

The abbreviation "DJ" actually stood for Deutsche Jägerschaft, not Deutsche Jägermeister:
Jägerschaft was the collective term for all huntsmen, while the term Jägermeister referred specifically to professional game wardens or senior forestry officials only.

(Oh, and, of course, an alcoholic beverage... )

I am MUCH MORE informed about the Jaegermeister in the bottle, having consumed a bit of it, from time to time! Thanks for setting us straight on the real German meaning!
