Looking good! Is the insignia period to the shirt?

    Thank you, Glen.

    Thanks guys
Yes Glen, I believe it is period to the shirt
I'm a bit confused. First it's stated the insignia is thought to be period to the shirt, and now you post a pictures of said shirt completely stripped of all articles and badges....what gives, am I missing something?

    Hi Ewan
Maybe I didn't explain myself well. When I replied to Glen's question what I wanted to say is that I believed the insignia was a match to the shirt (now I see that the sb's, for example don't match)
I stated on my post I've been "working" on this shirt (meaning I was puting up an uniform getting the missing insignia). Guess I didn't explain myself.

This is extremely small and so I think it is not DJ and neither HJ.
Children with the age of 5 or 6 could not be a DJ member, and HJ not ever.
I thought DJ went from 10 through 13 and HJ from 14 through 17.

There existed groups for smaller children from the NS-Frauenschaft, but these
kids were not allowed to wear DJ or HJ uniforms (see last photograph).

Often small children were dressed op as little nazi's and I think it might be such!

Now now mate, i anit commented yet if i were you i would just buy a period shortend HJ armband and sleave it over the DJ Rune untill you find/want to put a DJ shoulder strap on people were much smaller back then , and i bet they even had the odd small fry like you see today that was HJ aged!

    cheers,
    EWAN

    Oops, sorry about that, mate.
Youthcollector1, forgive me for calling you Ewan
What Wilhelm Saris says makes sense; the shirt might be a bit too small. Thanks for the pics
Anyway, Ewan you got a point saying people smaller - that's true. Maybe I'll just get a black shoulder strap and make it definitely a DJ shirt. Should I leave or remove the 2 black buttons on the shoulders?
Thanks for all your help guys

Remove the buttons. Neither HJ, nor DJ did use this.
The DJ did not wear officially a shoulder-strap before July 1935,
and when they came the usual numbered button had to be used.

Thank you, Wilhelm for all your help and knowledge. I'll remove the buttons and the sb's, get a black strap with one of the mentioned nbrs and a grey button to hold it (getting this grey button might be the hard part, or am I wrong?)
The idea is to make it look like one of these pics
    Thanks
