hi tom sunken enamels is not good and would be enough to make me walk away, ade shows an original here

well, i will now retract this statement concerning hj awards only, sunken enamel is a red flag and a cause to look further if you need to but its a thing seen on early original hj enamels, an rzm piece maybe not so common to see sloppy work, o still dont like the look of that badge in the OP but i could be wrong? you live and you learn some!

I've been reading the threads on these badges and it seems very hard to tell, but I was looking at buying two of these and thought it will be best to check here first as one has the same maker that's in this discussion . These are the only photo's I have Thanks
