Hello fellows. I had the pin, and the other items checked by a local dealer yesterday after work. He says it is a good piece. The reverse and sides has a little oxidation damage, and the white enamel paint has tarnished due to tobacco exposure. Makes sense to me.

The painted versions do look off white whether that's due to age.. most probably. Here's one to compare

The painted one looks like the one I posted. Yours is off white, and has the same pebbling. Thank you for showing your lovely set

It appears to have the correct pin too. These late war versions were not made with the best materials and without enamel.

Same pin it appears. Mine is a later version it looks like. Minus the maker /RZM mark. It shows that a piece shouldn't be written off too quickly. This is the 1st one I have had. I'm not very familiar with them. Thanks scottmadoo for the information
