A strange strap indeed. If early H.J. before Bann numbers were used and Banns were instead named, it should not have a red RZM tag but a blue printed tag, or no tag at all. Early straps also often have dual colored piping similar to S.A. collar piping or piping and a combination of stitched numerals. Very odd to see the red tag on a strap with no numerals or piping of any sort. I study and collect H.J. straps almost exclusively and this one is not something I've encountered before. It does appear to have been worn on a uniform of some type, there is rust around the button hole and thread at the base from removal. It's odd and I am not positive it is H.J. personally, but don't know for certain.
Cheers for your input Frank it's appreciated. The strap came with a whole load of other HJ insignia, so I naturally thought it would be HJ associated.
Anyway, many thanks.
