The flute looks very nice! I might buy a drum for this set-up, I already have the hanger.
Here is a list on items I believe I need:
- HJ armband
- HJ side cap
- Cross strap (RZM marked)
- HJ buckle with belt (RZM) marked)
- Black shorts
- Socks and boots
- Swallows nests
Would a dagger be appropriate?
Thank you, Glen.
Hi mate,
That makes two of us trying to make an HJ manequin
Guess that boots and socks will be the hard part (any idea where to get it?)
You already have the black scarf an leather knot?
I also would like to have a drum (and an HJ flag, of course)
For now my need list is:
- triangle
- shoulder boards
- HJ badge
- boots and socks
- d-ring belt loops
- HJ member "card"
Good luck on your "quest", Glen

they have white , grey, and blue backing they are also in cotton and should be made of a woolen material and have brown backings! although i have only read a little on this, so you should spend a night or two a week on the HJ forum, much to be learned there, anybody with a slight interest in HJ should be there imho, make the guy an offer on the band as it says on the home pages hes always open, you dont try you dont get mate!
good luck with the restore !

Hi JMM,
I have seen your items in the HJ/DJ/BDM collection thread, some nice looking items!!! How will you apply the insignia onto the shirt?
I forgot to mention that I need the neckerchief and woggle... duh!
I would also like to wish you good luck to. It is quite easy for me to go onto dealers sites and buy all the parts I need (and paying top dollar!), but where is the fun in that?
Thank you, Glen.

Yeap all the items are easy to get (some a bit more expensive than others) with the exception of socks and boots (I guess...)
Triangle and sb will be the last items (this things take time. And money...), so didn't think yet how to apply the insignia. Will see how it goes when I have them...

Swallow nests are a must to make this shirt resemble its former beauty and I will certainly post pictures before I make a purchase; is there any obvious differences from fake and genuine ones?
Thank you, Glen.
I would like to see some high quality photographs of the loops on the uniform for the swallows nest. IMO it's likely they too were applied post war. I've come to this conclusion based upon the fact the same thread is used for the loops as the sieger gefolgschaft badge...one would think it would be highly unlikely they were applied at the same item during the tr period. The thread also doesn't match the wear of the rest of the items IMO.
Either way though, it's still a wonderful piece and one I wouldn't mind having in my collection.
