This is far from being a textbook example approved by the RZM. It may be ok as this is something I would need to see in hand. I would wait for a textbook example as these are very common.

The white ground of the swastika isn't worked very well, that's what I see at first.

If this armband is a copy, what "signs" should one pay attention to?

here is a pic of my RZM pattern Armband for a comparison,there is no stitching around the swastika,& the material woven pattern of the swastika itself is completely different,.the entire armband is made of different material.also the material looks very new,definetly not RZM pattern as stated above,.imo i think its a modern copy.

Early versions of this armband were often locally made often by mothers. There is a good chance it is bad but I would want an in hand examination to condemn the piece
