I have now added Karls original HJ Mütze to the grouping. I will send photos when I have it here with me in a few days time.

Sadly there is no soldbuch or other document in the family that would shed light on his military career or war service...

Finally got the cap today. It shows some patina and wear (but no tear), overall a very nice piece with character. Hopefully I will still be able to a few Feldpostletters sent by the FSJ in 1943.
