I like it
As you say it is a later example but certainly not one of those specially made for collectors.
I think that the '57 awards which, let's not forget, had real purpose and were authorised to acknowledge the previous military service and therefore competence of men who had "walked the walk" rather than the new men who regardless of training, qualification and motivation never had the experience of the "old guard" that formed a very useful BW cadre. In this regard they are every bit as relevant to the historical timeline as are the badges and jetons of WWI and the pre-WWI Prussian period.
I have a fair group of '57 awards in my collection as well as WWI medals.
Thanks for showing another great example.

Mark
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature with no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
Beautiful badge , and very well put observation Mark .
A nice St u Luck made later piece, post 68', although quality had started to drop at this stage, these Fallshirmjager qualification badges are still evocative !
Andreas you will have to get the Army version to keep it company !
