With 57 pattern crosses was it only St & L that made them ? Paul
Paul...it is known that both St u L and Otto Schickle produced 57'er RK's, there is known examples with Klein & Quenzer frames, but it is unknown if they made them..K & Q were certainly around, they closed down in the early 1990's.
    Prost ! Steve.

I've never seen a Schickle '57 RK, are there any images of one?

Adrian...your wish is my command ! A Schickle 57'er RK is usually marked 835 for the silver content and is also wider than the St u L (more than 48 mm) Also the eye ring is flat on the Schickel ones, see here for comparison... First a Schickle RK. Then a Schickle on the left, St u L on the right.
    Prost ! Steve.

Paul..looks to be a one piece item..it does have the St u L traits...cut corners, exhbited on their latest production crosses...and bead blasted finish....however without side on and better quality or hands on examination it is hard to determine maker.
    Prost ! Steve.
