    Nice find James mate, looks like the lid is 62 to me but you'd have to go by the later 69 date.
    Look closely at your strap, mine's 61 or 67, it may have a mark similar?

    Cheers for that Rene' you know the thought of a mixed pairing never crossed my mind ,it might explain why the lid is so damn tight ,thanks also for the pointers on where to look on the strap ,ill get my reader's on and have a look in daylightBGS ThreadBGS Thread

    well Rene' i tryed but to no avail ,i cant see a maker stamp on that strap ,im still struggling to find the correct size arc and shield, no matter how hard i try to bend it like beckham it just wont fitBGS ThreadBGS Thread

    Really nice this thread,
    I show you this M35/53 helmet, a recent addition to my collection.
    I have many M35/53 in collection in different colors: dark gray, light gray, smooth green and rough green; I take this opportunity to ask you who are experts in the topic, if this difference in color is linked to different periods or different uses, or if they were used by other nations?
