very nice steve whats the date on that one it looks 70s very good condition
Carl Isken made this cap in an earlier life. I have seen numerous Bw caps from Isken, as Bonn is naturally quite close to Koeln.
Tom...October 1974 for the Panzergrenadier/Jager/Fallschirmjager cap, also it appears to be unissued, with paper padding still in the cap above the sweatband ! June 1971 for the Heeresflieger cap...FB, stunning SS cap as usual, great to see these BW caps were being made by esteemed TR cap makers !
Prost ! Steve.
didn't see the heersfiger cap still a very nice one though and a good price you seem to be finding nice ones
Thanks. Am very fond of your early Bw pieces, as these and their owners very dear to my heart for various personal reasons. The Isken firm made several kinds of SS caps, as well as NSDAP PL caps, in turn. Somewhere I have an early Isken PL cap picture gallery which I shall post. Do you have a source for early 1960s Bw officer caps of either the army or Lw?
FB, no particular source, I spend hours, far too many ! searching the internet, dealers, E-Bay and of course fellow collectors who steer me in the correct direction ! it appears these caps are now begining to climb in price.....I recently picked up some pieces from a BW veteran, which is most satisfying as I can put a name and history to these pieces, which is rare for us here in the U.K. Please post more caps from makers who survived to make another day, so to speak ! I have just aquired an early 1960's Generals white summer tunic, the so-called "Casinojacke", I shall post as soon as I source some shoulder straps for it.
Prost ! Steve.
Gents, just received this stunning October 1967 made "Panzeraufklarer" (Armoured recon) peaked cap for EM/NCO's, paid a little bit more than usual at £14.99 (this BW collecting is getting expensive ), a rare early one.....enjoy !
Prost ! Steve.
a very nice cap steve looks magnificent how do you tell heer signals and panzer rcon or did they just use the same colour?
Tom....It was sold to me as a "Signals" cap, but as you can see from the photo of the shoulder boards it is golden yellow (left) not signals yellow (right)......
Prost ! Steve.
