I've had this for a while, and have always thought it was a post-war
Bundeswehr pouch ? There are no markings on it anywhere, other
than the screened Red Cross logo. The colour of the snap
is what I've been going by.........

Hi Steve,
Can you give us an idea what the measurements are please mate.
The closest looking pouch that I have seen to this is a compass pouch from the US M1956/ALICE system, I certainly dont recognise it as UK or BW kit, but that means bugger all, especially if Steve doesnt recognise it as BW LOL.
Does it look as if there was a different fastening system beneath the "belt loop patch"?
Just a thought and my 2pennorth.
Regards etc

Sure it is not a old commerical first aid pouch? Rich A. in Pa.

Rich, you could be right. There were never any other belt attachments.
It is larger than the US compass pouch - I have a couple of those.
It measures about 6" X 4". I keep a recent ( 1982 ) unused
bandage packet inside to fill it out.........
Regards,
Steve.
