My Bundeswehr and 57er awards collection

Thank you Glenn, I'll give it a try.

This S&L Infanterie Sturmabzeichen made it its way to my mailbox. Not the earliest, but it does have a solid hinge block. Last photo shows how vaulted this piece is.

I will end this year with showing you guys another Deumer badge, but you'll have to wait for now as it hasn't arrived yet...

Ingrid, sorry for late reply, I must of missed your post over the weekend ! Another Deumer war badge ! well done , these are not easy to find, I personally think they are better made decorations than St u L....I have no Deumer war badges, only an EK I, EK II and a black wound badge....I am at the moment in the middle of purchasing a small group of seven awards that are all Deumer, KVK II,EK I, EK II, Ost medal, 4yr Service, wound badge (very early St u L) and ribbon bar....but still no war badge !

As for the Deumer pieces, I agree the quality is far more better than S&L. Deumer does have some issues with blackening the waves of their minesweeper badges,
this is not the only example that shows this.
