This week that ends, I just added two new items to my small collection of related objects, with the floods of February 1962 in Germany.
I hope you like them and that great experts like Andreas can complete the brief information that I will provide.
It is a ribbon bar with the decoration instituted by the Land of Schleswig-Holstein to reward the participants in the flood rescue tasks of February 16 and 17, 1962. These medals were awarded to German and foreign military, police, firefighters, toilets and other participants in the operation. This ribbon bar also has the German Sport and Aquatic Rescue badge, also in the bronze category.
Maybe its possessor was a fireman.
