Hello.
I am looking to buy a certain BW tunic that has markings ''Heereseigentum, 92 / IV'' on it.
What do the numbers and letters ''92 / IV'' mean? Could it be a size marking? 92cm chest size perhaps, but what does the IV mean?

I may well be mistaken here and will gladly stand corrected, but I think it is the year and month of manufacture.
"Heereseigentum" means "army property".
I have tried to research this but I can't figure out what this tunic is supposed to be. Any help?
That, colleague, is an Austrian army tunic.
Bundesheer - Uniformen und Abzeichen - Die Uniform
One distinguishes between Bundeswehr of the FRG and the Bundesheer in Austria. The air force in Austria wears essentially a similar uniform.
The Austrians did or did not, more or less, retain field grey in 1955-6, whereas the Bundeswehr Waffenrock is a slate grey. The first Bw uniform was very dark grey, and changed ca. 1957 or so.
I have seen these truths with my own beady eyes.
