3x M1 and no clue what model

Article about: I'd go for Iraqi from the tan paint splashed around the inside edge. The earlier one I think, that was made in South Korea, M80?

Default 3x M1 and no clue what model

    Hello experts,

I am sorry for asking a maybe stupid question. I do not really collect US militaria but I want to own a WW2, Vietnam and 80ies M1 helmet. I searched my boxes and found these three. Can anyone tell me what models they are?

    Thanks a lot for help,
    Chris

Only one photo uploaded, and it's blurry. I recommend reading the pinned topic for a good rough idea on what to look for, and get some better pictures for us!

sorry guys, I do not understand how to post pictures in different posts... next try

I read the guide the M1 helmet, so this is not a WW2 helmet and not a Vietnam helmet (missing anchor symbol).
Can it be Korean war? But I think more likely it is from the 80ies.

Markings in the liner cannot be read anymore. Shell has the front seam. No embossed markings on the helmet, as far as I could see.

the shell is a reissued front seamed WW2 version.

    Nice !!

But the liner is more liek 80ies, right?
So I cannot backdate it to a WW2 helmet

Ok, here is the second helmet, sold to me es a Vietnam era helmet.
The shape is somwhow odd, expecially if viewed from top. Bales are fixed, so it must be an early WW2 issue or some foreign M1 copy.
The liner does not fit into the shell very good.

That last one looks French to me, M51?

you are correct, thanks ! I even found a 1959 dated french liner that fits into the shell.
One more helmet completed But it was not an M1 vietnam era, for what I bought it

Ok, here is number three. It looks like a liner, but is a helmet of its own it seems. Very thick hull and bale for chinstrap. Maybe a plastic parade hemlet?

Last one is an Iraqi or Indian liner. It's an Eastern clone. Maybe Korean. First helmet has a late Vietnam era style liner. Correct on the strange helmet being a French M51.
