btw, the chin straps looks "Modern" so that's one of the reasons why I don't think it's WW2 =/

cant really tell you much about these as i don't collect them only US helmets it would be OK for a stand in till you cant get the real deal but if you haven't bought it yet i would be inclined to save my money to go towards a real US helmet.

Why not put the money towards a proper US one?The bales look like typical Dutch ones to me and i'm sure i've seen that 'usch' stamp someware...I'll just check one of my books.

I can't find any real American helmet from WW2 in Norway, the Norwegian army used some kind of a copy from 1950-60 and up to today allmost :P

And the one I find is for $750

They make nice, usually cheap stand ins, I have 2 clones a Belgian M51 and a Dutch M53 (round these parts, US M1s are quite rare, despite 22 million being made I swear only 3 of them made it to this country.), both complete with liners and they display quite nicely next to my other helmets.

$10 is ok - but how much for postage/shipping on top of that....$20-$30 ?
I would put the money into genuine WWII U.S. lid.........

This helmet is a Austrian produced "Euro clone". USCH 64 stands for "Ulbricht's Witwe, Schwanested" 1964.

This helmet has probably been made for Denmark or Norway. I am not sure about Belgium, but they sport a Belgian flag on the sides. Not for The Netherlands, those were marked with numbers in the rim, like "lot 87/9 U's".

    Cheers,
    Emile
