Antique Fair US M1

Article about: Was at the show today and picked up this helmet today. Now all I have to get is an A washer for it .. The liner is a firestone. Gary

    $50 is a giveaway Gary,like you said the leather chinstrap would pay for itself,regarding the T1 hook and claw release the debate will continue long after im gone,but even though textbooks claim August 1945 which is when it was officially approved for the static M1 Helmet,boxes of these metal hardware parts were available by the fall of 1944 and personally I've seen far too many added to be pure postwar workmanship,some hooks were added to the original hook setup,have added some pics for reference,but you done soooo well mate on this purchase...............

    Jake Very cool photos very happy with this helmet the only thing I'm going to do to it is replace the missing A washer. Gary
