Anyone can identify this M1 correctly?

Article about: by plumbob Anybody got any idea what’s going on with the liner washers, why aren’t they (A) type washers considering its marked a US liner, And when did this type of chinstrap attachment on

    As Nick says the helmet chin strap isn’t American.

    Prehaps its been re-webbed at some time.
    What did you mean by the chinstrap attachments on the liner?Are you talking about the small toothed buckles?

    Yes I was thinking re-webbed as well. That’s why i was asking,
    Also yes I did mean the small toothed buckles. I don’t know much about these later liners.

    The small buckles are not for the chinstrap, they are for the nape strap. The liner rivets are correct too for a late American M1. Have a look at the lid on the right. I don't know what the chinstrap is though, could do with some more pics.

    Nice hawley liner mate. One of them is on my want list as well, a paratrooper one! In my dreams.
