camouflage helmet

Two years ago I bought this helmet (fixed bale,front seam, number 72A)
Where could be used an helmet with a camouflage paint like this?

Nice looking Helmet, there is some evidence of camouflaged M1's being used in the ETO . I have seen similar Helmets being sold via Italy, specifically on ebay!

nice fixed bale. i have seen examples of camo helmets before also. Does it have a liner?

Thanks for your opinions! I also think that it may have been used during the italian campaign (sicily?) ... but surfing the web I've not found reference to the camouflage of the ETO. Unfortunately I don't have the liner ... :-(
