I have this supposedly Vietnam Era M1 helmet that I need help identifying. I’ve been looking for a while and the heat temp stamp doesn’t seem to fit any manufacturers that I know of, reading I (or 1) - 6245. The liner has a part in back that reads:
    HEADBAND HELMET LINER
    D-LA-100-78-F-U248
    8470-00-153-6671
    JEWISH GUILD BUND (or BLIND?)
The inside of the helmet cover (it seems reversible for desert camouflage) reads:
    COVER, HELMET CAMOUFLAGE
    CONTRACT NO. 8027
    FSN 8415-261-6833
    100% COTTON
    DPSC DIR OF MFG

The heat letter is I and stands for Ingersoll, I believe they made helmets from 1966-1968. The cover looks to be manufactured in the 60’s
