Wrong side of the Atlantik Wall mate, I'm guessing it is an M1 American helmet you are asking about.
Yes he's talking about M1s... Post some pics of the weld marks on the rim.. Sometimes there's an S under the number, that means it's a Schlueter. But Schlueter sometimes forgot to mark with an S or those markings faded with time.. It's either that or McCord, such an early number (if McCord) should have fixed bales. Or it could be a reissue (with swivel bales).
