    Hello i just got this us m1 helmet from the flea market for a very good price i just wanted to know if this is a vietnam era...i think they were used by the Greek army to in the 80s but i am not sure if you need more pictures just tell me and i will upload...thanks

    hi there ,are there any ink stamps present on the liner band

    From what I can see in the liner and chinstraps it is American made in my opinion.

    hello thanks for the reply... unfortunately the ink is faded... if you would like any other picture tell me i can send a picture with the faded ink but you cant tell what is writing

    yes it is american made i just want the date

    really hard to pinpoint the exact date ,but judging by the ground troops resin liner its post 1964 and this configuration finished in 1972 ,hope this helps james

    I have a very very very similar Vietnam helmet with a near identical liner. I say Vietnam era. Vietnam went to around '73 or so. '75 we were all gone.
