Here is a new addition to my collection.
The helmet is a bring back from Vietnam and was never taken apart. Sadly the vet passed away.

It belonged to SGT Thomas who was assigned to HHC 3rd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade. He joined the 503rd at Ft Bragg in June of 1967. He deployed to Vietnam with the battalion in SEP 1967 and served as both an Infantryman (11B) and Light Vehicle Driver (64A). He was hospitalized on 26 December 1967 and stayed at the 91st EVAC Hospital for 15 days. He returned to HHC 3-503rd on 10 January 1968. He was then hospitalized again on 26 March 1968 where he stayed until June 1968 when he was sent back to Ft Bragg. He then became a Drill Instructor and got out of the Army in 1973.

The display is not finished yet. As you can see it has an Airborne Liner.
