I have seen this one, it has a "few bids".
Had it on my watch list just to see what it made.
Note the two marks on either side under the spades where the bales have been welded on and burned the paint on the outside. Then rubbed a bit to try and match the rest of the lid.
A bad one I think, the guy seems to sell a lot of military stuff so if it were real I am sure he would have found out or knows if its good or bad.

yup i see this one to & as with Rod i to saw the two marks on the out side by the bails also the bails look in to good of a condition compared to the rest of the shell total fake to me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wouldn't touch anything of this rarity with a 10 foot pole on eBay, unless it was selling for less than scrap value.

as i suspected nick and this one doesn't have the famous dimple each side either which we have come to recognise with ear marked D Bale types,thanks for the comments guys,wouldn,t want to be that winner when he finds out,or maybe he has a cunning plan?regards minnie.
