Good luck, Andy!
Good luck, Andy!
im going to have a guess at a belguim m51 due to the colouration of the sand texture through the foliage slit but having said that im not familiar with the chinstrap design poking out
Regards James
It's arrived, and not quite what I thought it would be. No steel pot!
Just a heavily overpainted US liner under the cover.
Though the date on the sweatband is a little difficult to see, the liner and sweatband are both dated 1969. Not bad.
The cover is dated 78, so that can be put away in my now overfilled "covers" drawer!
Also in the helmet was this nylon chinstrap, I have no idea what this is.
Best Regards,
Andy

You win some, you lose some! At least this one provided some excitement and didn't break the bank!
I know you only paid a tenner but i'd be feeling a little bit narked!...
Yup, nothing spectacular this time. It's better than putting it on the horses I suppose!
Best Regards,
Andy

And I quote:
"US Marines Vietnam Kevlar Helmet - Camouflage "
It's not a problem, I knew the description was way off, I just took a chance.
I've had a few of these pay off with something nice, a couple sort of neutral like this one, and some
terrible stuff too.
Just a bit of fun really, and it keeps me from roaming the streets.
Best Regards,
Andy
