Front seam M1 Camo

I just acquired this one last week, out of an old collection of mainly US stuff. It is a front seam swivel bale M1 with brass hardware. I have no history on it, but the camo pattern, which I think is unique, has brown, black dark green, and gray splotches. It is the gray, whick looks like shipboard gray paint, that makes me think this is a WWII Pacific theater pot. Any thoughts or comments will be appreciated. Hope you like it, Jim G.

gday Jim, never seen anything like it, its almost like a ww1 german pattern. Interesting to see that the dome was camoflaged and not the visor area.
hopefully an original for its very unique helmet

My son has a similar camo.
His was acquired for an Army Pacific vet.

Looks a bit similiar to US pathfinder camo but not matching colours,prehaps a paint job done in England prior to departure to france as a possibilty...
