Helmet foliage band info needed

I've been trying to remember where I saw those pictures, I know they were in books, I saw them before the internet. I've been looking through mine with no luck so it must have been from the library. Not that it helps you much, but at least I can stop driving myself more crazy lol I'll try google once

If i remember correctly my visits were in the late 80s also remembered were the two blonde bombshells that were on gate duty wearing camo and blue cravats and carrying sidearms , OOH what a pair of women ,No stop it I mus'nt ,got to watch the blood pressure

This one was sold by an online seller in North Carolina - apparently, anyway: American Headgear - American Vietnam M1 Helmet

so these bands made their way back to the states then.
