    Cool Late 1970's Airborne M-1C

    hiya guys

here's my latest buy its a very nice late 70's airborne lid with nape pad (not sure what its real name is ?) the cover is dated 78, liner sweatband 77 but I'm not sure about the liner its self as i cant unclip the sweatband clip where that info is. the liner is a Firestone make & Ive also just noticed the shell chin straps are on the wrong side so must be replacements at some point also the chin strap buckle is marked with a "P"

Nice to see the crash pad too, they are a rare thing indeed. Why wont the clip undo?Is it rusted up?
Do you have Raynosa's book on post war M1's by the way?

not sure why the clip wont budge but i don't want to force it in case i tear the webbing trying to do so !

i don't have that book yet but it is one i might get at some point but i have been told the liner in my lid is NAM era.
