Late NAM era M-1 with OD cover ?
Article about: od covers where worn on the, US m1 helmets in the korean war. and in veitnam. would this be right.

its marked with an M so i think that makes it a MARMAC liner ?

the shell and and cover and liner seem to be well used. but there seems to be no wear on the chin strap or buckles very hard for me to think why that is. but i think this is a good complet m1 like the cover too. looks like to me a signature on the liner. glad to here you got this helmet in the end.

Ive got a feeling the whom ever tried to repair the liner webbing also added the chin strap maybe it was originally missing ?

its the first time Ive seen one turn up with an OD cover but i guess its not to uncommon as it didn't get a lot of interest !!!!
