Hope it is! Your liner is dated 1973 though, doubt it would have seen action in the Yom Kippur war.

I wonder why the helmet does not have the three point strap system? Too awkward with that type of liner under it?

its possible as it has the flap bit at the back that would get in the way of the strap at the back of the shell.
