Looks good the paint that is, the insignia looks like a decal I would think this would date to the early 60s

I think its post war paint job. Rear seam, the "Army Air Force" split off from the U.S. Army in 1949. After this it was only the "Air Force" and I don't think the Army Air Force was ever called the "Air Forces". They may have been called the Air Force or the Air Corps, but never the Air Forces. I've never seen this before either and don't believe it's right. It's just wrong. Just my opinion. John

Looks 'ok' to me, but rough - who knows when this
    was done and why ? - I wouldn't pay a whole lot,
even though it is somewhat unique.

The period decal is the type used on the sleeves
of A-2 flight jackets. You can still find these
    decals today.........
    Regards,

    Steve.

The paint maybe a bit rough but at least you have a late ww2 Schlueter made shell with original chinstraps so overall not too bad providing the cost was quite low.............
