I thought the m1 manufacturer was only 2? McCord and Schlueter? So what's the other manufacturer?
To my knowledge it's these five:
Schleuter. McCord. Ingersoll. Parish. R.J.Stampings.
Though WWII Era were Schleuter and McCord, if I recall correctly.

Also, an awful lot of debate about them, especially Parrish. personally I'm firmly agnostic.

I've seen a reference to specific dates when the various factories had contracts, I'll let you know if I can dig it up again. I was unaware there's debate about it

Congrats finally a member who has made the effort to find out by themselves rather than just come on here and do the usual lazy type thing and just sit back and let other members do all the work so for that you deserve a pat on the back,as you have found out a McCord produced in 1943 and yes there were officially only 2 makers even thou the Parish mith will continue long after im gone,keep up the good work regards......Jake.
Yea it helps a lot to have that handy little McCord chart. Makes it easy. Is this chart from the ETO book I wonder?

Yup, and they can get a bit squirrelly about copyright too............................

Looking at your pictures, the red paint seems to be only on the inside?
Also, it looks like Navy grey paint under the outside coat of green?
